DTA (Direct to ANYTHING) EPOXY Premium 2k DTM Primer-Sealer is a special 1:1 Epoxy Primer with exceptional chemical adhesion to almost all substrates and direct-to-metal properties. Very soft sanding, wet or dry after short dry times. DTA Epoxy Primer provides NO shrinkage and the maximum in color holdout properties available in any product. DTA may be used as a non-sanding primer-sealer

Air Pressures

Conventional

Siphon Feed: 35-45 psi at the gun

Gravity Feed: 30-40 psi at the gun

HVLP 8-10 psi at the gun

Application:

1. Clean surface thoroughly using HR-397 Cleaner
2. Apply 1-2 medium coats of DTA with 20-25 minutes flash between coats.
3. Can apply Topcoat after 30 minutes flash time without sanding, or for extra quality finish wet sand primer with 280-320 grit sandpaper before applying topcoats.

(Air Dry):

Flash Between Coats: 20-25 minutes

Wet Sanding: 8-12 hours

Wet on Wet 30 minutes to 1 hour. Maximum time for applying top-coat over non-sanded primer is 2 weeks.

DTA is a unique blend of special state of the art epoxy resins that has been tested to chemically adhere to almost any surface WITHOUT SANDING! Although Tamco always recommends sanding primers for ultimate adhesion and appearance, DTA 2K Epoxy has been tested over STAINLESS STEEL, ALUMINUM, GALVANIZE and other special metals without any sanding. Tamco strongly recommends the use of our HR-397 cleaner before applying our DTA. A surface with any contamination will cause failure! Before using on an unkown surface, we suggest that a small test area is always coated first for adhesion qualities.

DTA 2K Epoxy was formulated with the industry’s best corrosion inhibiting ingredients to help keep rust from forming.
